sprewce was a concept conceived in a balmy high school classroom circa 2010. At the time, we had no product to sell or service to offer. All we had were conversations about how to provide guys with the resources to look and feel their best. It only took thirteen years and living in three cities to turn the conversation into something tangible. Cleveland, Chicago, and Delray Beach are all on the water. “F*ck it, let’s make swimsuits.”
In truth, deciding to dive into the world of men’s swimwear was much more than an impulsive decision. When wearing a swimsuit, we are at our most vulnerable. Regardless of physique or how comfortable we are in our own skin, there’s still just one layer of fabric between us and the rest of the world. Yet, for most guys, we found that swimwear is not a priority when it should be the opposite.
Any remaining doubt about our decision to take on the swimwear industry vanished after spending months searching for a swimsuit that checked all our boxes. To our surprise/disappointment/delight, nothing did.
Our swimwear is inspired by the days when being well-dressed was not a choice but a way of life. In those days, clothing was tailored, made to last, and part of a versatile, cohesive closet.
